I have known Moe Handel for over 10 years first professionally through volunteer and municipal projects and I am now fortunate enough to call him a friend. I am writing this letter to voice my support for his re-election to the Needham Select Board on Tuesday, April 13.
Throughout these years, Moe has shown me that he is a passionate voice for our Town. While he has had many accomplishments throughout his tenure as a member of the Select Board and Chair, I would like to focus on two of the several committees where I have personally worked with Moe.
First is the renovation of the Greene’s Field Playground. As chair of the Greene’s Field Renovation project, I worked very closely with Moe and the rest of the Select Board as the park fell under their jurisdiction. Together we created a plan for updating the playground to make it safer and more accessible. Without Moe’s support for the project we would not have been able to move forward with it and create the showpiece playground that is in our Town Center.
Second, as a Past President and Current Board member of the Needham History Center, Moe has worked tirelessly and collaboratively to propel the mission of the Center to make it a more vibrant and contemporary organization while preserving the rich history of our Town and teaching its stories.
Moe has a wealth of experience from his active participation in countless Town boards, committees and organizations. Personally, I am impressed with how Moe interacts with our entire community and listens to our concerns, especially when he is faced with important and difficult decisions. While there are many serious issues facing our community right now, I have the utmost confidence that Moe’s experience, his integrity, his willingness to listen and his collaborative spirit make him the right choice for our Town.
Please join me in voting for Moe on September 4th.
