Dear Fellow Needhamites,
I write this letter in support of Moe Handel for reelection to the Select Board in the upcoming Needham town election on April 13th 2021. Moe was one of the first people I met upon moving to my current residence about four years ago. At the time Moe welcomed my wife and me, as well as our two children, both under the age of six at the time, with open arms. Even though I was well-aware of the work he had done in town I still managed to be surprised at his boundless enthusiasm and energy when I met him in person. He was teeming with ideas to help my family and me put our roots down solidly in Needham and let us know some of the delightful things available to us in town.
It’s wonderful to see this year’s election garner so much excitement. The candidates clearly have the desire to contribute to the betterment of Needham. After the tumultuous recent year(s) we’ve had as a nation, the political division and the devastating effects COVID-19 has had on all of us, it’s more important than ever to have a steady, seasoned hand serving in our highest form of town government. Moe’s views are progressive, inclusive and innovative to keep Needham the desirable place it is to live. Though not perfect, our town has so many positive aspects that Moe has had direct involvement in fostering. His dedication towards green initiatives, inclusiveness, fiscal responsibility and his ability to make decisions based on the big-picture in Needham is wide-ranging.
As a fellow member of the Needham Exchange Club, I’m hard-pressed to think of a charitable club event when Moe isn’t involved directly with his boots-on-the-ground. Most recently outside of the club, Moe’s devotion alongside his wife, Elizabeth to help get seniors vaccinated in Needham, despite their other commitments, clearly shows his care for his fellow Needhamites.
Members of the Select Board have a great responsibility to our town and its residents. It is clear to me, as well as many others, that we need someone who can dedicate the time, patience and passion necessary for this critical position in our town government.
Please join me in casting your vote for Moe Handel’s reelection to Needham’s Select Board on April 13th.
